A multi-genre open world RPG- NTE is a unique blend of various types of gameplay sewn into an immersive and intelligent open world, developed by Hotta Studio with release date April 24, 2026. The game is set in the bustling city of a unique place called Hethereau with curious and seemingly menial aspects as everyday life and wild reality-breaking anomalies overlap, where you will play an unlicensed anomaly hunter navigating exciting objectives while casually living within the city's urban atmosphere.
The story revolves around the main character, a new employee of Eibon — an antique shop that scrapes by taking commission-based jobs from members of the public regarding anomalies. You wake up with no recollection, but are soon entangled in the city as you look into the strange anomalies—ranging from vague disruptions to deadly happenings—that overtake Hethereau. The report kicks off with so much speed, but can be dulled by level locks at points; however the great mystery of what caused real life calamities and character-driven aspects manage to keep you playing as subtext uncovered prior to each action sequence.
Gameplay is the star of the show though, fusing gacha RPG with city life simulation and driving / management sandbox without feeling over complicated. The combat is easy to understand yet simultaneously contains much depth, utilizing team synergies between each member through coordinated ultimates and abilities along with countering play styles in regards of exploiting elemental reactions as well break mechanics while trying on taking down your enemies swiftly manner. Outside of combat, players can fully explore Hethereau at their leisure (a player is not confined to specific zones), purchase and customize vehicles, buy houses that allow for customizable decoration over time or operate a café that passively generates income as well as take on mini games like fishing or street racing.
NTE is a 9/10 visually and auditory. Hethereau is a living, breathing city as a setting packed with vibrant NPCs and details that push it off the page rather than just onto it. Character designs are unique and the way they shift between chill urban scenes into crazy abnormal sequences gives it a kind of visual identity. The sound design furthers this with music that builds from peaceful exploration as the game opens to frantic chases and fights when you start encountering anomalies, alongside clean combat sounds and effective voice work.
NTE, which is playable on PS5, PC and mobile features online multiplayer for up to four players with optional in-game purchases. With its rough edges, easy systems and occasionally ponderous pacing; but the game still shines as a greater experience that presents multilayered rewards to players who take time with it in either thrilling anomaly hunts, chill city living or cultivating relationships through charming companions. If you want your open-world RPG to not be an archetype of the genre, NTE will take players on a ride where myth and reality meet. Why not have a try, I am convinced of the fact that this game will mot disappoint you.
